Grain-handling equipment manufacturers are focusing on automation, capacity and safety for 2026 and beyond. Several standout products address common pain points farmers face during harvest and storage.

Elmer Manufacturing’s Discover Connect 2.0 system represents a major step forward in grain cart automation. The system handles everything from crop selection to automatic gate shutoff when trucks reach capacity. An upcoming cellular-connected controller will enable multi-cart coordination and live tracking. For those looking ahead, Elmer is also developing a high-capacity conveyor for 2027 that can move 14,000 bushels per hour with a ride-on platform.

Summers Manufacturing tackles capacity with its 1648 Field Belt, featuring 10,000-bushel-per-hour throughput and the industry’s longest hopper at 92 inches. The thoughtful design puts all controls at the joystick and makes fluid access easy without ladders. Shivvers Manufacturing’s Ultra High Capacity Circulator 3 pushes drying capacity to 1,700 bushels per hour using a 10-inch center vertical.

Safety improvements include Greene Stairs’ OSHA-compliant C-Series Roof Stairs with 12-inch tread depth, while Sudenga’s Halo prevents costly sump plugging by breaking up grain clods. For monitoring, Prairie Grain Analyzers offers the portable Mini-405 moisture tester with elevator-level accuracy and the subscription-free SiloScan Go cable reader. Sentry Pac Pro provides automated aeration without in-bin sensors, and one unit can control multiple bins. Shivvers’ Double Run Conveyors offer gentler grain handling than traditional augers, starting at $15,000.
