While you’re walking around the Farm Progress Show this week in Decatur, Ill., be sure to prioritize Case IH’s booth for a first look at the brand’s most powerful tractor yet. With an 853 peak horsepower output, the Steiger 785 Quadtrac is the iconic brand’s new flagship workhorse.
“We understand the demands of farming are only increasing. The Steiger 785 Quadtrac is a workhorse designed to meet those demands with power and productivity,” says Ken Lehmann, customer segmentation lead at Case IH. “With long days in the field, the boost in horsepower and torque allows farmers to do more in a day.”
While increasing power, Case IH engineers didn’t sacrifice agility or comfort. Brand representatives advertise the Steiger 785 as having “excellent visibility and maneuverability,” with “superior operator experience and cab comfort,” according to a spec sheet about the new machine.
Meanwhile, an SCR-only emission system streamlines the engine’s design. Emissions are treated after the engine system. By prioritizing simplicity, the machine can focus its efforts on power production. And with the added horsepower, the tractor can pull larger implements faster via a 40% torque rise.
An optional heavy-duty suspended undercarriage delivers a smoother ride, superior traction and flotation, helping to minimize soil compaction in the field.
Inside the cab, the new Steiger 785 Quadtrac features subscription-free, integrated precision technology that underpins automation-driven features including Case IH’s AccuTurn Pro and AccuSync systems, and data collected via telematics through FieldOps.
Connectivity is also included without a subscription, and the machine comes with a 3-year/2,000-hour warranty.
Stop by Case IH Lot 867 Aug. 26-28 to see the new Steiger 785 Quadtrac in person, visit a local dealer or go online to caseih.com for more information. Also at the show, the ag machinery brand will showcase the latest upgrades and launches across its tractor lineup and hay segments.
