Fendt took center stage at the 2025 Farm Progress Show on Tuesday morning with the debut of its latest advancements: the 1000 Vario Gen4 Tractor and the Optimum Planter. These cutting-edge equipment releases are designed to meet the demands of today’s farmers, offering enhanced power, precision and efficiency.
1000 Vario Gen4 Tractor
Fendt’s expanded Gen4 lineup includes the 1040, 1044, 1048 and 1052. The 1052 is now the largest wheeled tractor in the company’s lineup, positioned just below Fendt's two-track platform.
The lineup includes a 550-hp model equipped for demanding tillage, planting and transport work. Adaptive power allows farmers to adjust the horsepower output of the tractor to prevent implement damage and improve fuel efficiency.

The Fendt 1000 Series can be unlocked from the factory for PTx OutRun autonomous grain cart and tillage capabilities.
The new 360-degree LED lighting system boasts 120,500 lumens and can be adjusted easily from the monitor in the cab on the go. The machine includes 24 work lights, with two lights around the top ring of the roof and multiple three-pod light configurations at corners.
“If you’re driving with a grain cart and have a combine behind you, you can turn off certain pods so you don’t blind the combine operator,” says David Soliday, senior marketing manager for Fendt. “This thing will light up a football field; it’s quite amazing.”
The 1000 Vario Gen4 Tractor will be available to order late this year for delivery in 2026.
Optimum planter
Farm show visitors can get the first glimpse of the Optimum Planter, the first stack-fold planter from Fendt. The stack-fold toolbar flexes at four hinge points in all directions to follow the topography of the land and comes standard with wing downforce. This ensures even better ground contact, optimizing seed placement and even emergence.

The planter — built for cotton, corn, sorghum and soybeans — offers the latest Precision Planting innovations integrated directly from the factory. Standard precision planting components include the 20/20 Gen3 Monitor, vSet2 meters with vDrive and DeltaForce.
“With this planter, Fendt is bringing the most agronomically advanced planters in the industry to a new range of farmers,” says Arthur Santos, marketing manager for Fendt. “No matter the terrain, the Optimum is engineered to deliver unmatched seed placement and agronomic performance at the highest level.”
Pre-sale for the Optimum will begin in the second quarter of 2026.
