FPFF - Mon Dec 1, 12:29PM CST

The latest USDA grain export inspections report, out Monday morning and covering the week through November 27, showed some divergent data for traders to consider. Corn volume led the way once again, outpacing analysts’ expectations in the process. Soybean volume saw modest week-over-week improvements, while wheat volume faded moderately lower and fell below the entire range of trade guesses.

Corn export inspections faded moderately lower week-over-week but were still strong after reaching 55.9 million bushels. That was also above the entire set of analyst estimates, which ranged between 39.4 million and 49.2 million bushels. Cumulative totals for the 2025-26 marketing year have jumped 71% above last year’s pace so far after reaching 746.7 million bushels.

Japan was the No. 1 destination for U.S. corn export inspections last week, with 15.1 million bushels. Mexico (9.9 million), Colombia (7.4 million), Vietnam (1.6 million) and El Salvador (1.4 million) rounded out the top five.

Sorghum export inspections faded to 1.9 million bushels last week. Most of that grain is bound for Mexico, with China accounting for the modest remainder. Cumulative totals for the 2025-26 marketing year are still trending at below half of last year’s pace after reaching 18.5 million bushels.

Soybean export inspections are on the rise after reaching 33.8 million bushels last week. That was on the lower end of analyst estimates, which ranged between 29.4 million and 45.9 million bushels. Cumulative totals for the 2025-26 marketing year 43.6 million bushels.

Italy was the No. 1 destination for U.S. soybean export inspections last week, with 7.4 million bushels. Egypt (4.7 million), Mexico (2.3 million), Germany (2.2 million) and Bangladesh (2.1 million) filled out the top five.

Cumulative totals for the 2025-26 marketing year are still tracking 20% above last year’s pace after reaching 486.1 million bushels.
